Poetry, History, Music & Movement: Mother-Son, Author-Illustrator Visits with Carole & Jeffery Weatherford

Author Carole Boston Weatherford and illustrator/poet Jeffery Weatherford present solo and joint presentations featuring poetry and nonfiction books that connect the English/language arts and social studies curricula. We have programs spanning the school year, from Underground Railroad Month (September) to Juneteenth (June 19). Most programs can be adapted as teacher or parent workshops. A TYPICAL PRESENTATION INCLUDES:

  • Samples of poems or art created when we were children
